Okay, As Jessica has challenged someone to actually answer, I shall do what I can. I know that means I have broken my promise of not coming back here.

So here`s my penny`s worth

We all know I have some issues, but I need somethings about Hinduism:

1.) Ganesh`s head was chopped off by Shiva while he was intoxicated on marijuana? Are you serious, you`ve got to be kidding me, does this mean that Hinduism promotes drug abuse? No Idea

2.) Why can`t Hindus eat beef??? There is a solid rational behind this as there always is behind all superstitions. When the Arryans came from Kazikstan, they not only brought Sanskrit and Vedas, but an appettitte for eating Beef. They are too much and killed off cattle, virtually. Note that to farm the land Cattle is needed, so this was suicidal re crops. The Brahmins, annoyed with this decided to do somthing about it. The cow must never be eaten. Simple logic. Over centuries became part of religion and culture. Point is Cow is holy because it is vital to Agrarian society. This was orginal logic.

3.) What the h*** is the purpose of Sati, the burning of the widow during her husband`s funeral??? That man is like her God. Have to ask Hindus this, as I can`t rationalise or justify this at all.

4.) Do Hindus actually believe that Hunumaan picked up a mountain on his back, flew across India, and gave it to Ram??? One word, Mythology to make a point.

5.) Do Hindus really worship monkeys, rodents, elephants, tigers, and snakes, why?? It appears that way

6.) How can you possibly believe that the Ganges flows down from Shiva`s hair? See answer to 4. This is no different than the Illiad and Odessey is to western culture. Hindu beliefs are from teh ancient world, and unlike the Greek , Roman and Viking, have survived.

7.) Why do Hindu women not wear make-up after their husband`s death?? I know, but I don`t want to upset anyone.

8.) Is it true your religoun has more than 35,000,000 gods?? No comment
