There is only one God. For all beings, and in all times, and across every culture. The same sun rises over us. The same rain falls on us. The same joys of marriage, childbirth, family belong to us. The same sorrow of sickness, death, loss come to us.

In all of life people are more alike than different. The same ideals and religious truths tell us all to be good to each other, to be fair to the poor, to defend the oppressed.

Every scripture worth the name says that God is light, is love, is peace, is wisdom, is healing, is joy, is freedom.

Waheguru is the Gurmantra of the Sikhs, which means that our religious teachers gave to us a descriptive name of God to embody all the good qualities that God is.

After all, a word is only a representation. So the word "God" has meaning only when we understand the representation, otherwise it is just a word without meaning. The problem with condemning other language descriptions of God is you dont know what they mean. You dont have understanding, so you speak against things you do not even know. Our religious teachers gave us an intimate name of God, Naam, powerful with vibration and sound current, so that it can carry the literal presence of God into our lives through our awareness and resonance on Him.

Our scriptures teach us that the one God has countless names. Waheguru, which basically means Wonderful, Awesome Lord, is used to praise Him. To say our God is different, or accuse our God is corrupted form of evil, or a devil, that Sikh God is not the same God as everybody elses God is frankly exclusionary and hateful.

With all your words Sukhpreet, you succeed only in convincing people how prejudiced and foolish you are. Too bad you do not understand missionary conversion is cultural genocide because of intolerance of other people.
