Hi,

I think that most people are confused on the issue of Sikhs eating meat.  In the Rehat Maryada, The Sikh Code of Conduct, allows Sikhs to eat meat.  No one should go against the Rehat Maryada, beacuse the 5 Takhts, and other senior people, put careful consideration , into this controversial issue. The Rehat Mayada, took upto roughly 12 years to complete, thats how much thought they put into it.  Siks are not allowed to east meat slaughtered in a ritual manner i.e. Hala/Kosher meat.  Also they shouldn`t eat meat offered to gods/goddesses.  And by the way Sikhs are not prohibited from eating any type of meat, be it fish, pork OR Beef.  Yup thats right Sikhs are allowed to eat Beef. Tastes Wonderful.  U guys should try it some time!!
