Re: christianity
Hi Sona

Well there are three groups of Christianity.Roman catholics, protestants and orthodox.

Catholic and roman catholics are the same.Catholic is just short form of roman catholic.Protestant movement was begun by Martin Luter when he nailed his 95 point theises to the door of a roman catholic church.

Protestant churches are what we call reformed churches.Roman catholic church is one church which added to the teachings of Jesus Christ. They also added their own traditions which are not mentioned in the Bible. For eg one of the popes of the RCC(Roman Catholic Church) adopted a doctrine of the infallliablity of the Pope. That is pope cannot be wrong.RCC head pope also claimed that he had the authority of Jesus Christ which is again a blasphemy.Roman Catholic church also started praying to Mary which is unscriptural. They added a lot of stuff to the teachings of the bible.Roman catholic church is a apostate church.Another example of their adding up to the orignal teachings is that their priests should be celibate otherwise they cannot become a priest in the roman catholic church. Also they claim that pope or the priests have the right to forgive any person`s sin which is again blasphmy.Only God can forgive sin.

Against these teachings a reformation was started by Martin Luther.Anglicans, baptists, pentecoastals, lutherans, all these are different denominations. These denominations believe in essential teachings of the bible but may differ on certain aspects like style of worship, music, dress code. That is they believe in the fundamental doctines of the bible but may differ where their beliefs do not affect the truth of the bible.

Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand.
