Hukamnama issued by Akal Takht Jathedar Sandhu Singh Bhaura dated February 15th 1980 that Amritdhari Sikhs can eat meat as long as it is jhatka meat and that eating meat does not go against the code of conduct, Kurehit, of the Sikhs. - see http://www.sikhs.org/meat.htm

If you look at the rules in rehat maryada, Ceremony of Baptism or Initiation Article XXIV, you will note that that number 2 of the four transgressions says:

2. Eating the meat of an animal slaughtered the Muslim way;

There can be only one way to intrepret this: Eating meat, all meat, is allowed with one exception - "an animal slaughtered the Muslim way". THIS ON THE SGPC WEBSITE - they issue the hukamnamas, no doubt after exhaustive research. They are our religious leaders.
