Yeah I know. I get scared by all of the stories I hear on this site and from other people. But just remember that times are changing for sure. And all of the parents are different. I recently had an argument with my boyfriend about his parents, but only because I get scared sometimes, but at the same time I know I don`t need to be scared. My boyfriend said to me that they will say yes and no matter what he is not going to leave me at any cost. He even said  that he can leave his parents but he can`t leave me. So if he has to go to drastic measures like tell his parents that he is never coming back to India, just to make them say yes, then he will. But he is going to fight for me, if he has to. His parents sound lovely though. They are not too strict. My man said to them that he is not going to be marrying an Indian girl, and they did not mind about that.

And you are right, you should not have to change to impress his parents or anything. Just be yourself. And show that you love their son. And learning Punjabi will help too. :) Are you well behaved and well mannered etc..??
