Re: Re: Re: Bhagat Singh--the real inspi

Veeray I am saying this with the most friendly tone, and with as much respect as I can....

I trust a hindu, as much as I trust a sikh, as much as I trust a muslim, christian, jew, or any other religion.

Just because I see a religion or a building they attend every sunday doesnt mean it dictates the person that they are. If you think that just because someone is hindu, they are untrustable, your going to live a life that will be very harmful to you and your family. As just because someone is a sikh doesnt mean they will treat you amazing and you can trust them. Again, you will be burnt as many people have been done to before.

You have to learn to trust people, not their religions. Maybe it comes with education, maybe it comes with understanding sikhi, or maybe it comes with simply being a better person than others, but the way you think Amarinder is sad.

I dont want to defend hindus, nor am I going to insult them. I look at people who will ultimately affect my dharam. You and I are both sikh amarinder, therefore I dont like when you talk ignorance because people will think all sikhs think like you. If you think times have changed since Bindranwale times which happened to be around 84 and earlier and how sikhs act, then cant the arguement be made that hindus have changed since those time too? I dont know if they have or havent, personally i havent had major troubles in my life, then again I dont spend as much time there.

The bollywood issue is really old. It has changed a lot, there have been DOZENS of films showing sikhi and their nature, 1984, and the prosperity of sikhs. This thing that you are talking about occured mostly during the mid 90`s, to early 2000. We are @ 2008, times have changed, they are not perfect, but change is being made. When our own youth dance bhangra all day and get drunk more than they love their homeland, what do expect others to think of us?

Regarding the issue of harimandir sahib, I am torn. First off, that bondu Bhindranwale, who preached hate, and took guns into harimandir sahib ji, provoked the Indian army. He is at fault. He knew, along with the media, and the WHOLE community, that the Indian Army was to follow him, however, not like a true man, he went to hide in the harimandir sahib ji, knowing the indian government would come and knowing it would such a fiery response. Rather than staying in the complex that he was staying in for years, he decided to go down the street to harimandir sahib ji. That man was a coward. He recieved arms from the pakistani government and didnt use the right tactics. Also, the Indian government, should have tried to wait them out, and cut off all supply to them so that they would have to come out, but apparently according to general brar he said that would have given time to more khalistanis to come and fight a war in the streets which they didnt want.. who knows

Its seems like you selectivity take information to feed what you think is going on in the world. It you would like to have a competition between the prosperity of sikhs in india vs. the negativity we have encountered Im sure I will win...

Having said that, there is a need to change for some people. I agree that within some hindu communities that are negativism towards many religions not just sikhi, but we must remember that its same in the sikhi community. So, all I can say is, look at the person, the persons heart, the persons mind, and their actions, your look at religion is just merely a way to justify your hate, and it will hurt you more than assist you if you think somehow your intouch with the social underworkings of religious culture in Bharat.
