Hello,

I was wondering if somebody familiar with the Punjabi culture can please provide me with instructions on how to appropriately touch your future in-laws feet when you meet them.  I am not from India and I have only seen it done in movies, however we all know about the possible inacuracies there.  Basically what I was wondering is how and when do you technically touch their feet.  When you enter the house?  Do you lean down to do it and do you touch one foot or both?  Im assuming you touch the top of the feet? or the ankle?  I am sorry the questions might sound strange and basic, but I want to honor them in the most appropriate way possible.  Any help on this topic will be greately appreciated!

Also, is there an order in which you have to go, i.e. father first or mother first?  or is it whoever opens the door, etc.
