I am not worried that he will not be faithful to me. Although the obvious response is that since he cheated on his wife, he will cheat on me, I really believe that I know him better than that.

However, i do worry about his family acceptance. Although his family is traditional, he is not. He thinks his family would accept me b/c his cousin married an American and they like her. However, i am not sure he has recognized the implications of marrying me after divorcing his wife (which is different than if he had been single to begin with). Yes, I am in love, so it doesn`t really matter to me. But b/c i love him, I worry that it will be hard for him.

I also do worry about the current wife, although he would take care of her financially.

lastly, I think you can remain just friends. and for two years we did and it was wonderful. but there are limitations to the intimacy (not just physical but emotion) you can share when you are just friends. And now that we have that intimacy, we can`t go back.
