A traditional and healthy pickle.
Ingredients
1 lb
carrots
1 tablespoon chillie powder
1 teaspoon coumin
1
tablesppon mustard
1 tablespoon turmeric
2 tablespoons salt
1
cup mustard oil

Preparation

Scrape the
carrots. Wash and cut or slice into 1/2 thick pieces. |

Heat the oil
and remove from the fire. |

Add mustard, termeric and cumin to the
hot oil. |

Add carrots, chillie powder and salt. |
| 5. |
Cool and pack in
jars and leave in a warm, sunny place for 10 days before using as a n
accompaniement to a meal. |
