Formed in 1999, DRP stormed the bhangra scene and quickly became one of the most revered teams in California. Known for bringing traditionality and creativity to its performances, DRP has become an icon of originality all over the country. In the 5 years since DRP was formed, the team has also performed at numerous fundraisers in an effort to spread Punjabi and Sikh culture and awareness in Southern California. Performing at venues such as the National Democratic Convention 2000, Fusion 2003, the LA County Fair, and multiple Gurdwara and University events. DRP has competed at Bruin Bhangra, Dhol Di Awaaz, and Rooh Punjab Di, and has placed at all three competitions. Through hard work, dedication, and determination, DRP hopes to continue to spread its love and respect for bhangra and Punjabi culture for years to come.
