This document contains selected "Shabads" (groups of hymns) from Siri Guru Granth Sahib that are commonly used for reciting Kirtan. In this document, each sentence of Gurmukhi text in each Shabad from Siri Guru Granth Sahib is followed by a sentence of the phonetic transliteration by Kulbir S. Thind, MD; and then by its English translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa, MD. The Shabads are arranged in an alphabetical manner according to the Gurmukhi alphabet and are optimized for printing handouts. The pdf file is updated in June, 2008 and this file is in Unicode (pdf file Shabad list = 2275). The pdf file includes three indices; Gurmukhi Index, English Index and Gurmukhi & English Index. The English Index is alphabetized according to the English alphabet, whereas other two indices are alphabetized according to the Gurmukhi alphabet. The word file (which is not updated) has only one index (a composite of Gurmukhi and English) which is alphabetized according to Gurmukhi alphabet.
